Our guide, Jean Hall, returns to the Rain Forests of Costa Rica and sees beauty around every corner.
“This was my third visit to Costa Rica in just 3 years and I definitely am becoming addicted! As I blogged last year, it’s not just the scenic beauty and incredible birds. It’s also the people, the food, the whole attitude of Pura Vida. Translated literally, that means Pure Life, but it’s a greeting, a parting, an attitude that pervades this gem of a country set in the jungles of Central America. I was once again guided by Roy Orozco, of naturespecialist.com…..an expert on all things natural in Costa Rica. If you are a wildlife photographer or just a birding enthusiast, Roy is the man.
The highlights for me on this visit were the toucans (we saw Keel Billed, Chestnut Mandibled, and Collared Aracari) and the reptiles, Red Eyed Tree Frogs and Blue Jeans Poison Dart Frogs. Again, we were lucky to find nesting Resplendent Quetzals and some Scarlet Macaws in the wild. As always the Hummingbirds were stunning.”
